FAQ

Questions Answered

What we get asked most, before, during, and after a bench slot.

What actually is a cut plan?
A short written sheet listing the raw blank length, the tip trim we intend to take, the target butt frequency, and the finished playing length — all set down before the blank goes anywhere near the saw. It becomes the first line of your work order.
Do I need to already know my specs?
No. If you bring in your current clubs we'll measure them on the bench before writing anything new. Most golfers who walk in have never had their own clubs measured, and that's normal.
How long does a bench slot take?
Single-club jobs run 45–60 minutes. Iron set jobs run 75–90 minutes. A full bag job runs 2.5–3 hours and is usually split across a fitting visit and a separate pickup once builds are cut and cured.
Am I required to order clubs after my slot?
Never. You leave with a written cut plan either way. If you do order, the slot fee comes off the invoice.
What should I bring?
The clubs relevant to your job, the shoes you normally wear on the course, and a rough idea of your scores if you track them. If you already know your handicap, bring that too.
Do you fit left-handed golfers?
Yes. The rack carries left-handed heads across every job type, and the cutting and measuring equipment work the same regardless of handedness.
What is a work order, exactly, and do I get to keep it?
It's the sheet that leaves the shop with your clubs — blank make and raw length, tip and butt trim, measured butt CPM, swingweight, and the initials of whoever cut and signed off the build. It's yours to keep, and we file a copy here too.
How soon will a build be ready?
Most single-club builds are ready within three to five business days. Full-set jobs typically run a week, since every blank in the set is individually hand-matched before anything is cut.
What if a finished club needs a small adjustment?
Any loft, lie, or length tweak requested within 30 days of pickup is included at no charge while your swing settles into the new build.
Do you work on clubs you didn't build?
Regularly. Bringing in a set bought elsewhere or built by another shop is completely normal here, and we'll open a fresh work order on it the same as any other job.

Open Bench Slots

Bring the clubs. We will start the paperwork.

Tell us what is in the bag now and what you wish it did differently. We block the bench, pull blanks from the rack, and you leave knowing exactly what was cut and why.
